Hollyoaks Star & Powerlifting Champion Says Hello to Lo-Dough

There was a special visitor at Lo-Dough towers this week, as soap star and British powerlifting champion Jazmine Franks stopped by for a low calorie pizza.

The former Hollyoaks actress, who stepped down from her role as Esther Bloom in April, has been focusing on her fitness to compete in the British Powerlifting Championships. Nutrition, she says, has become paramount to her success, and Lo-Dough is a "genius" way of eating great food whilst hitting her fitness goals.

The 26-year-old soap star from Bury underwent a huge body transformation which was picked up by the national papers earlier this year. The now super fit actress is auditioning for new roles and is likely to be back on the screens in the future with her new, toned physique.

During her visit on Thursday (5 July), chef Mikey cooked up some healthy pizzas, quiche and special Lo-Dough chocolate brownies, which Jazmine said were “made of the stuff of dreams.”

Jazmine said: “It was great to spend the afternoon at Lo-Dough HQ, eating yummy low carb pizza and sugar free brownies. Thanks to the team for having me, I can’t wait to wear my apron and pick a recipe from the website to try at home.”

Luke and Jazmine Franks

Luke Anthony showed Jazmine around the Lo-Dough factory before leading her to the kitchen for a taster session. He said: “It was great to have Jazmine at Lo-Dough, not just because she’s a recognised face but because she’s really into her fitness and can see the benefit of it for her training. She’s done amazingly well with her powerlifting and I’m sure she’s going to be even more successful with it in the future. Hopefully she liked the Lo-Dough pizzas, quiche and brownies as much as we do.”

Jazmine came up with her own recipe for a Lo-Dough pizza, which has been humbly named "Pizza all Jazmine" - made with caramelised onions, proscuitto ham and rocket.
